About Mei Lin
Mei Lin Zhao is Dodo Global Investments' Senior Portfolio Manager for Asia Pacific Equities, bringing over 16 years of hands-on experience navigating the complex and dynamic capital markets of Greater China, ASEAN, South Korea, and emerging Asia. Her investment methodology marries deep fundamental research with a disciplined, risk-adjusted execution framework that has consistently delivered alpha across diverse market conditions.
Beyond her investment mandate, Mei Lin serves as DGI's principal advisor for clients seeking company formation in Singapore, Hong Kong, and across the broader ASEAN region. Her firsthand experience operating within Singapore's regulatory environment means she understands the precise requirements for registering a Pte Ltd, satisfying ACRA compliance obligations, navigating nominee director services, and structuring cross-border corporate entities that optimise tax efficiency while remaining fully compliant.
Mei Lin holds an MBA from INSEAD (Singapore campus) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Melbourne. She began her career as an equity analyst at Macquarie Capital in Sydney before joining UBS Asset Management in Hong Kong, where she managed a $1.4 billion Greater China equity fund. Her research coverage spans consumer discretionary, technology hardware, financials, and property sectors across the Asia Pacific.
At DGI, Mei Lin has overseen the Asia Pacific equity portfolio through some of the most turbulent periods in regional markets — including China's regulatory crackdown on technology companies, the ASEAN pandemic recovery, and the semiconductor supply chain restructuring of 2023-2024. Her ability to identify high-conviction, undervalued opportunities amid macro uncertainty has made her portfolio a consistent top performer within the firm.
Mei Lin is a Mandarin and Cantonese speaker and regularly advises Chinese and Southeast Asian entrepreneurs on the best jurisdictions for company incorporation when looking to establish international corporate presence. She believes that a well-structured offshore company or foreign subsidiary can be a transformative strategic asset for businesses expanding internationally.
